This year's New York Comic Con is a little more than two weeks away, and BOOM! Studios will be among the many comic book publishers in attendance - and, naturally, they're not showing up empty handed.
Among the exclusive items on sale at BOOM! Studios' booth (#1828) will be an exclusive variant of James Asmus and Carlos Magno's “Kong of Skull Island” #1, with a cover illustrated by Adam Hughes, the superstar comic book vet currently at the helm of Archie Comics' relaunched “Betty and Veronica” series. The “Kong” exclusive will sell for $10.
BOOM! Studios' biggest sales success of 2016 is “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” and the Los Angeles-based publisher will highlight the series at NYCC with an exclusive version of the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 2016 Annual,” featuring a cover by Felipe Smith (the co-creator of Marvel's current Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes, who debuted this week in live-action on “Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”). Smith has illustrated a series of connecting “Power Rangers” variants as convention exclusives throughout the year - first at WonderCon, followed by Emerald City Comicon, then Comic-Con International in San Diego - and the NYCC cover completes the four-part image. The NYCC-exclusive edition of “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 2016 Annual” will sell for $20.

The previous three covers appeared on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #0 WonderCon exclusive, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1 Emerald City Comicon exclusive, and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink #1 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive.
New York Comic Con takes place Oct. 6 through Oct. 9 at the Javits Center in New York City.
