DC Comics' grooviest Caped Crusaders will cross paths with the Amazing Amazon in the new digital-first miniseries “Batman '66 Meets Wonder Woman '77.”
Announced this afternoon during the Wonder Woman 75th anniversary panel at New York Comic Con, the title will be co-written by “Batman '66” writer Jeff Parker and “Wonder Woman '77” writer Marc Andreyko, with art by David Hahn and Karl Kesel. The debut issue features covers by Michael Allred and Alex Ross.

Debuting in 2013, “Batman '66” tells new stories set in the world of the 1960s television series, starring Adam West and Burt Ward, complete with villains like Olga Queen of the Cossacks, the Bookworm and Zelda the Great (more “classic” foes like Catwoman, The Riddler and The Penguin also appear). “Wonder Woman '77” followed in 2015, providing a direct sequel to the 1970s TV series starring Lynda Carter.
“Batman '66” has already crossed over with the Green Hornet, Steed and Mrs. Peel, and the Man from U.N.C.L.E., while “Wonder Woman '77” is set to meet the Bionic Woman in December.
“Readers have asked for this team-up since the 'Batman '6'6 comic began and I'm thrilled we're able to finally make it happen,” Parker said in a statement. “Most of the credit goes to Marc Andreyko. He found me at a show and within minutes had me fired up about the story possibilities. It really feels like Lynda Carter and Adam West going into action again, this time together.”

Andreyko described “Batman '66 Meets Wonder Woman '77” as a story that “spans 30 years as these two legendary superheroes fight an ancient evil across the decades.”
“We've planned lots of twists, cameos and surprises along the way that fans of both series will appreciate,” he added.
The 12-part series will launch digitally on Nov. 23, with new chapters released every other week. The story will be collected as a six-issue print series debuting in January.
