According to a new teaser, “Clone Conspiracy” #3 will “change Spider-Man's world unlike anything ever before.” What's more, it puts a sinister twist on Peter Parker's motto about “great power” and “great responsibility”: “With great power comes the Jackal's greatest offer.”
Jackal was a star player in the much maligned “Spider-Man: Clone Saga” storyline from the 1990s, which claimed that Ben Reilly was in fact the real Peter Parker and that the Peter Parker fans knew and loved was actually a clone - a turn of events that was quickly retconned. Now, Jackal returns as a key character in Dan Slott and Jim Cheung's “Clone Conspiracy” event, and it seems that whatever lasting impact he'll have on Spider-Man's legacy will be unveiled in just a few short weeks.
Dan Slott and Jim Cheung's “Dead No More: The Clone Conspiracy” #3 is scheduled to go on sale December 7.
